A Letter from Broadway Babysitters Co-founder Vasthy Mompoint

I was brought into the world of both child care and Autism 18 years ago when I met a little girl named Natasha. At the time, I was 18 and she was 2. This year, she turned 18. Working with her and other children like her has indeed changed my life. I learned the impact it has on not only the child, but the families. I decided a long time ago that in addition to art, I would dedicate my life to bring awareness and help out both the children and the families in anyway that I could. Music is my pulse so it seemed perfect to use it to raise funds for the causes I love the most. We asked our friends to lend both  their talent and time to create our special album. We hope this will be one of many.

In addition to helping children on the spectrum, we hope to help artists who can not afford child care. I see people in the artist community struggle with childcare needs, and eventually leaving that world behind all together. We hope to give them any aid we possibly can so that they can continue to put beautiful art in the world as well as beautiful humans : )
